On Monday, December 3rd, Joe DiOrio was a speaker at the 20th Annual New England Bankruptcy Law Conference 2018, MCLE’s flagship conference. The program is available as a live webcast.
He was joined by a judicial panel of six bankruptcy judges from the districts of Massachusetts, Maine and Rhode Island as well as leading practitioners discussing the latest trends affecting both consumer and business bankruptcy.
Joe was part of the session entitled: “Business Panel: Bankruptcy Alternatives.” Topics covered included: out-of-court restructurings, assignments for the benefit of creditors, secured party sales and receiverships. The panel reviewed common problems encountered with out-of-court alternatives, including solicitations and hold-outs, and the benefits and burdens of bankruptcy.
